White Chalk (PJ Harvey)

My Emerald Hill Road project was finally handed over to the client last Friday. A very compact kitchen designed for an American and his partner. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out especially the Liebherr refrigerator cum wine chiller unit made to look like a Sub-Zero with the fabricated stainless steel vent panel above it.

White glossy lacquer door panels accompanied by black granite countertops and claddings with stainless steel appliances; very monochromatic. The square-edged Franke sinks are in demand nowadays and I’ve already incorporated a few into other projects. However, the Franke mixer doesn’t feel very sturdy. I’ll have to refrain from using that again.

I still remember having to lift that heavy shelf above the hood with Chea and Jeff. Too solidly-built for my own good.
