Tough Customer (Simon Nabatov Trio)

A rather fussy prospective client was brought to the showroom by her architect this afternoon.

After the obligatory introductions, we had a short meeting where she stated her requirements and the quality of workmanship that she expected. Before I had a chance to brief her further on the kitchen system, she darted across the showroom and inspected the material samples and basically the cabinet systems, criticising on things that didn’t meet her expectations. Even the Sub-Zero refrigerator wasn’t spared; every single component was checked and I was grilled on the specifications. The last straw was when she plonked herself right inside the Franke sink to test its durability.

After the whole debacle, it was like a slap to the face when she told me she had only 20 cents to spend.
