The Mist (Stephen King)

Frank Darabont … you sick mother*&^$#*!

And to think that Stephen King, the master of horror and original writer, actually wished he had thought of such an ending. An ending so outrageous that I felt like banging my head against the wall soon after. After all the crap that the characters had to go through and with so much hope for eventual freedom, were a few more hours not worth waiting for? ARGHHHHHH!!!

Fadelinah and I are still reeling from the effect of watching the rented DVD and trying to comfort ourselves through the fact that it was just a movie and not real life. I shudder at the thought of anyone doing what the supposedly heroic figure did towards the end and what materialised minutes after his act. I would have gone insane.

Nuf’ said. I would not say it’s a bad movie, just that the ending was difficult to stomach. Really …
